SVA Alumni Semi-Finalists in 2013 Adobe Design Achievement Awards

Six SVA alumni have advanced to the semi-final round of the highly competitive Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA), which showcases individual and group projects created with Adobe software and honors talented students that combine technology with the creative arts.

Hsin Pei Liu (MFA 2012 Computer Art) and Miyeon Kim (BFA 2013 Design) are competing in the Motion Graphics category; Liu for her animated short Beyoutiful and Kim for Cube Animation (watch below), a short that follows a Rubik’s Cube as it takes on various forms. Chan Young Park (BFA 2013 Design) and Jinsook Bae (MFA 2013 Design) are contenders in the Graphic Design Category for their pieces Two Second Rituals…” and Dog Communication, Puppyrights. Shendy Wu and Thomas Szenher (both BFA 2012 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects) are in the running in the Animation category for Szenher’s Fish out of Water and Wu’s Micho, a short featuring a hungry yet determined protagonist.
